The 2019 Honda HR-V has refreshed looks, features, and two new trims!

The Honda HR-V made its debut during the 2016 model year, and for 2019 it received an exciting refresh and extra trims to help it maintain its status in the ever-growing and competitive subcompact crossover segment. Here are some new features you can find on the 2019 Honda HR-V for Long Island driving.

Updated Trims

  • Old Honda HR-V Lineup: LX, EX, and EX-L
  • New Honda HR-V Lineup: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring

When you come into our dealership that serves Long Island to get a Honda HR-V, you'll now have a new Sport and Touring trim to check out. The Sport has a stylish leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, trim-exclusive 18-inch wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™. If you want to go on "sporty" adventures, you'll like the standard roof rails that are ready for a cargo box or bike rack.

Taking the top spot from the EX-L is the all-new Touring option. It brings aboard power seating, navigation, LED headlights (brand-new for 2019), and standard AWD with Intelligent control, which is optional on most Honda HR-V trims. You'll also get leather seats, and these start on the EX-L.

More Advanced Safety

We're delighted that Honda Sensing® is now standard starting at the EX trim! In the past, the main safety features for the Honda HR-V were Bluetooth, a backup camera, and the available Honda LaneWatch™ camera. Now, Honda HR-V drivers can take on Long Island with some impressive advanced technologies, like automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance.

Volume and Shifter Updates

If you had an older Honda HR-V or recent model year Honda vehicle, you might have grumbled about the lack of a volume dial, as Honda designers had decided to go with a touch system for the volume. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but the sleek-looking feature wasn't the most user-friendly either. Like many new Honda models, the 2019 Honda HR-V now has a volume knob again, because sometimes you need to put function over form.

To check out the refreshed and still fun 2019 Honda HR-V, drive in from Long Island to visit our Huntington dealership this week!
